| | Houg Special Services offers the following benefits for it's employees...
HOLIDAYS
If the holiday falls on the employee's regularly scheduled workday and the employee has completed 90-days of employment the employee will be paid for the holiday. The Company observes the following days as legal holidays:
New Year's Day - January 1 Memorial Day - Last Monday in May Independence Day - July 4 Labor Day - First Monday in September Thanksgiving - Fourth Thursday in November Christmas Day - December 25
MEDICAL
There is a medical plan available. Employees should speak with their Manager or the Human Resources Administrator for the costs and other pertinent information regarding the Health Care, Vision, and Dental plans.
401(k) PLAN
An employee is eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan if they are at least 18 years of age and have been continuously employed for a period of at least four months. The enrollment period for eligible employees is March, June, September and December of each year following four months of service.
SAFETY SHOES
If an employee is interested in wearing OSHA accepted work shoes while working, the company will reimburse them 50% of the cost, up to a maximum of $50.00 per pair. The employee must have completed 90-days of service, provide an original receipt from the store where the shoes were purchased, and get their Manager's approval for payment. A limit of one pair of shoes per employee per year will be reimbursed.
COVERALLS/COLD WEATHER CLOTHING
The company will provide employees who may need coveralls in order to perform their duties up to 50% reimbursement, to a maximum of $50.00, toward the purchase of coveralls or cold suits. The employee must have completed 90-days of service, provide an original receipt from the store where the coveralls or cold suits were purchased, and get their Manager's approval for payment. A limit of one suit per Employee per year will be allowed.
PAID TIME OFF BANK
The company provides eligible employees with a "Paid Time Off Bank (PTO), which consists of paid time needed for vacation, sick leave or any other personal reasons. (Company Over-the-Road Drivers accrue differently than listed below.)
Eligibility
Full-time employees, who work at least forty (40) hours each week on a regular basis.
Part-time (hourly) employees, who work at least twenty (20), but less than forty (40) hours each week on a regular basis, will earn PTO at half-rate.
New Full-Time employees will receive 4 days of PTO benefits on their fourth month anniversary after they complete 4 months of continuous service with Houg. The 4 months of service must be completed before PTO benefits are earned and can be used.
Paid Time Off is earned as follows:
1st year ·4th month 4 days (32 hours) ·Through 1st year Accrue 8 hours per month 1st Anniversary to 4th Anniversary Accrue 11.33 hours per mo. (17 days annually) 4th Anniversary to 9th Anniversary Accrue 14.67 hours per mo. (22 days annually) 9th Anniversary and over Accrue 18.00 hours per mo. (27 days annually)
From the first anniversary to the fourth anniversary: After the employee's 1st anniversary date, benefits are earned at 11.33 hours for each calendar month (maximum of 136 hours per year).
Fourth through the eighth anniversary and subsequent years of employment: At the employee's 4th anniversary date, benefits are earned at 14.66 hours for each calendar month (maximum of 176 hours per year).
From the ninth and subsequent years of employment: At the employee's 9th anniversary date, benefits are earned at 18 hours for each calendar month (maximum 216 hours per year).
Part-time Employees: will receive benefits on a prorated basis, as determined by each individual's regularly scheduled workweek.
The employee's date of hire as a part-time or full-time employee will be used to determine length of service. |
